Solar Bears is two film buffs from Ireland who, with their latest album, blend the past with the present. They mix modern electronica with 70's and 80's sounding synths; and they pull it off flawlessly. Throughout the album it slides anywhere from ambient, to disco, to almost M83 sounding synth anthems.
While it may seem that Solar Bears are focusing mainly on the past, the reality is their sound is really innovative. There are a ton of great songs on this album, highly recommended.
